The whole routine lives in a cheap lighter, which means people let their guard down the second I pull it out. Morphing my signature into a different word on a borrowed bill got an actual gasp, and there's no reset or cleanup between performances.

Marked a spectator's dollar bill and had them sign it, then turned it into a different bill right in their hands — the lighter gimmick sold it because everyone already knows how a lighter works. The morph happens faster than I expected once you get the handling down.

I’ve been searching for a close-up effect that doesn’t scream “card trick,” and using a lighter spectators already know feels way more organic. The ink morphing is clean and the reaction it gets is worth every penny of the five bucks.
