A pseudo-hypnosis routine inspired by the work of Kostya Kimlat, Flashy Hypno packs in multiple unexpected color changes and one killer of a kicker ending.

The performer explains that under hypnosis, the mind can be tricked into seeing things that aren’t there.

To demonstrate, a card is chosen by the spectator and kept in the middle of the pack. A second card is shown to be ‘wild’ - able to change into the selection at will, and repeatedly.

Whether it’s placed on top,

in the middle, or on the bottom of the deck, the ‘wild card’ will always morph into the selection. As a final kicker, the deck is spread - and every single card has changed color.

Daniel Chard is rapidly making a name for himself and his particular brand of fast-paced, eye-catching magic.

The color changes hit way harder than I expected, especially the second one where the card basically melts in their hand. I've only run it twice so far and the kicker ending got an actual gasp out of my roommate. The hypnosis framing makes the whole routine feel fresh instead of just another change

I've been doing card magic for years and the color changes in this routine genuinely caught me off guard when I first watched the explanation. The hypnosis framing gives you a natural excuse to slow everything down, which makes each change hit harder. That kicker finish got an actual gasp out of my

The kicker ending alone is worth the price—it got the loudest reaction of my whole set. The multiple color changes build up nicely to it, and the pseudo-hypnosis framing makes everything feel way more magical than it has any right to.
